EDUCATION

Having an education changes everything. Education has the power to break the cycle of poverty that so many refugees and at-risk children in Costa Rica experience. And, once the cycle is broken, the generations of children and grandchildren to follow also benefit and are able to live better lives.

For the City comes alongside local churches to offer the resources and services necessary for students to accomplish their schoolwork and, of course, learn about Jesus. Students are also offered the opportunity to take English classes that will help them to get better jobs in the future.

In the day and age of virtual learning, FTC offers Virtual Learning Centers and after-school programs to make sure that students have access to the computers, internet, and assistance needed to accomplish their schoolwork. Today, these Virtual Learning Centers are located in our partner churches and community centers in the Alajeulita and San Jose areas.
